Business travel should be accessible to all. Booking and managing business travel is becoming more reliant on technologies, and digital accessibility is vital to providing an inclusive online experience for travelers, travel arrangers, and travel managers. As a global company, we are inspired by the diversity of our customers all over the world, and we are committed to making our web and mobile platforms accessible to everyone.
Commitment
Established in 2019, our Accessibility Committee has been navigating the ever-evolving world of digital accessibility to adopt relevant practices and roll them out within our products in a timely manner. Beyond working to make it technically easier for everyone to navigate the myCWT app and web platform, we are committed to the greater good of accessibility.
Goals
Like many major corporations around the world, CWT strives to follow the accessibility upgrades spelled out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). For all of CWT’s products, our goal is to always strive for the highest standards possible.
At this time, we are working towards full compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In addition to making sure that all new features meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, we are in the process of conducting a detailed audit of myCWT to make existing features to be more accessible.
Progress
We have made significant progress on our digital accessibility journey. We are proud of the work we have accomplished thus far:
- Technical improvements to CWT websites to make them accessible, including improving visual standards such as color and fonts
- Content improvements to CWT websites to make them more accessible, including alt text inclusions and ARIA labels
- Providing technical training sessions catered to CWT’s designers, engineers and product teams to foster an environment that organically includes accessibility as part of our software development lifecycle
Product VPAT Documents
Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) documents describe the level of support each product offers for specific WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
